Katina Mercadante is a film director. She has directed over 100 television campaigns for clients including Apple, Facebook, IBM, and Disney, and won awards including the Cannes Gold Lions, the Grand Clio, and a nomination for Outstanding Directorial Achievement by the Directors Guild of America. Her films have been featured at the annual TED Talk Conferences (2012, 2016) and played on Oprah’s OWN network.
Katina is a strategist. She advises leaders and companies throughout the world, helping them clarify their highest purpose, implement innovative strategies, and align with the greatest good of their mission. Empowering companies to reach massive amounts of people and shift the overarching consciousness through seemingly small changes in representation, inclusion, and integrity has become the focus of her work.
Katina is a descendent of the Deceangli (modern-day England), Alemanni (Switzerland) and Amskapi Piikani (Blackfoot), a disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda, and a Teotihuacan moon dancer. She graduated cum laude from Amherst College with a degree in Black Studies. She speaks Swahili and Spanish.
She resides in New York City, Northern California, and Bridgewater, Connecticut.
